Manteca, California is located in the Central Valley of California, 76 miles east of San Francisco. As of 2009, its population was 66,451 with an estimated 86,000 by 2030. Manteca considers itself the “Family City” and is located between a crossroads of major highways and railroads. Former NBA basketball player and head coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder Scott Brooks was born in Manteca and attended Manteca’s East Union High School.
